I love this watercolour by Kamisaka Sekka. The look of communication between the boy and his gentle beast is forged from many hours spent together. They are both resting and enjoying each other's company. Years ago, I used to play for the animals in our barn. They would all become still and quiet to listen to the music. It was magical.
